| Gill Tech Academy – Town of Grand Chute |

|
CHALLENGE:
This recent Davel Engineering & Environmental Inc. project involved an addition to an existing building, grading and drainage design, and the design of the erosion control. Site restrictions and town ordinances prohibited construction of a wet pond.
SOLUTION:
Davel Engineering & Environmental Inc. designed a bio-filtration device that filters the storm water prior to discharging to the municipal storm sewer. |

First Business Center – Town of Grand Chute |

|
CHALLENGE:
This re-development site was home to the old Colonial Inn. The site is located between Hwy 41 and County BB, Mud Creek and a highway exit ramp, leaving little room for storm water controls.
SOLUTION:
Davel Engineering & Environmental Inc. did the topographical work, designed the drainage and grading, erosion control and sewer and water services and provided construction staking. We worked closely with Gries Architectural to design the grading and allow natural light into the basement, dramatically increasing the leasable space in the building. Once again, a wet pond was not an option, so a proprietary was used to achieve the required storm water quality improvements. |

| Spring Lake Condominiums |

|
CHALLENGE:
The developer came to Davel Engineering & Environmental Inc. with a plan to create a large pond surrounded by single-family condominiums. There were numerous town and DNR permits to obtain because the project was adjacent to or in wetlands.
SOLUTION:
Davel Engineering & Environmental Inc. lead the way in obtaining all the necessary permits to make the project a reality. We were with the developer from start to finish, performing the topographical survey, drainage and grading design, storm water design, erosion control design, sewer and water design, road design and construction staking. We think the end result speaks for itself! |

CHALLENGE:
How should an engineering firm respond when the
unexpected happens? Sunset Terrace was well on its
way to becoming an approved subdivison when it was
discovered that a good portion of what was
previously farm field could be considered
wetlands. While this sort of major concern could
easily derail a project of this magnitude, Davel
Engineering & Environmental Inc. took another
approach. |
